Dynasty WW Beniers? OR Cooley/Nazar?

League and team in sig below. 18 team H2h. I'm in the playoffs now with a good shot at making and winning the finals.

Should I use bid on Beniers now or wait for Cooley or Nazar next year or the year after?

Near the end of the NHL regular season, when the college hockey season is over, those college players that sign with their NHL teams to burn a year of their rc, get added to Yahoo and go on the WW.
Each year, we carry over our waiver position. Some teams have been holding theirs for like 2-4 seasons. So far this season, Sanderson, Power, Kent Johnson, Bobby Brink, Abruzzese and McBain have all been added like this. Which leaves me with 5th position in the WW.

And I think I stand a fairly good chance at getting Beniers if I put in a bid. But I hear such great things about Cooley and Nazar, I worry that Beniers could end up mediocre in comparison. All be it, in my league with peripherals like FW, HIT and PPP which I imagine Beniers will contribute tii

The question is, should I put in a bid for Beniers now, or wait until the end of next season, when it's possible Cooley, Nazar, Luke Hughes, might sign after their college seasons? At least I would think Cooley, Nazar would be one year in College and then to the NHL. While Hughes will be finishing his 2nd year and so on. Or they could end up playing two college seasons and screw me up. But either way,
Should I put in a bid for Beniers now, or wait until next year to hopefully bid for Cooley, Nazar, Hughes? Beniers could def help me right away it seems.

I'd put the claim in. One of two things will happen:

If you don't get him, you move up one spot.
If you do get him, you get a good prospect, and he's on the top line right now.

Don't fall victim to the the "grass is always greener" fallacy. If the player helps your team get to where you want to go when you want to be there then you put in the claim.

Also; "Albeit" is one word.

You should go for Matty. I was at his NHL debut the other night and he looked really good. More poised and creative than I expected.

I do love Cooley. But anything can happen between now and then. And I am hearing great things about Matty.

Go for it. I actually don't mind being at the bottom of the waiver priority because then I can put claims in for everybody and have nothing to lose.

I would agree with trying to nab Beniers-I hope you got him! Worst case, as they said above, you'll get another good player down the road! I see this as a win-win!
