Watson is in hot water again.
I thought that with the trade and the contract and the 100% guaranteed funds that this was no longer an issue.
It would be truly Cleveland move to give him 100% guaranteed contract if there was still lingering issues.
Aaron Donald is saying "he's at peace" retiring this summer if he can't get a deal done with the Rams. The amount of talk around him retiring is no longer just a ploy, but I would still be shocked if he retires.
Couple of players still on the trade block:
Garoppolo
Mayfield
Samuel
Daron Payne
Kyler Murray
McCaffery
Barkley
Metcalf
McLaurin
Some of the guys are very unlikely to move (Murray, McCaffery) but some of those guys are going to be moved still.

I don't think the NFL has weighed in on whether Watson will or won't receive a suspension of some sort. Even if nothing materializes in the legal system, the NFL can still levy a suspension. Indeed, the Browns' contract is designed to get Watson his money if he receives a suspension.
Next thing to wait for is the NFL's move. And if more details and allegations surface, it'll be harder for the NFL to do nothing.
Watson's salary for the 2022 season is $1m if he doesn't play. Then jumps to $46m a year for the remaining 4yrs.
Cleveland prepared for this, and have kept Mayfield around likely for this reason.
-edit-
Well his base salary is $1.035m, his signing bonus was $8.993m (in 2022). So it's not a massive loss if he's out for half the season. So, a per-game base of ~$57,500 means he'll only get paid that for each game he plays.
He had a signing bonus of like $46m broken up across 5seasons, but that's guaranteed money dolled out on a certain date each year. Then the remaining $184m spread out over 5yrs. The final 4yrs of the deal has him being paid $46m base salary, 8.993m Signing Bonus, and a cap of $54.993m with his "yearly cash"(Like AAV almost in hockey) being $46m.
Essentially the team has already paid him $46mill in a signing bonus. Kept his base salary in 2022 low (1.035m) so his impact money wise this yr is super low. And if he misses games he isn't paid this yr ($57,500/week) and for the team it's ok "We aren't paying him" but for Watson it's good too because he knows he's getting suspended for some if not all of 2022 "My salary this yr is so low that I don't care if I'm gone this yr. It's next yr I hope I'm not suspended for (would lose 2.556m/week)".

In reaction to Rob Gronkowski’s news, his agent Drew Rosenhaus texts: “It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call. This is just my opinion but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob comes back during the season or next season.”

"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
So the talks about Watson's suspension length are happening now. Sounds like NFL wants indefinite so they can hold a 1yr suspension, and will re-evaluate then. Sounds like the other side wants 6-8 games.
If Watson gets less than Ridley....that's ridiculous. Should be indefinite so it protects the NFL if more women come forward.
