Pete and Laf for Package

Hey I’m in a 16 trade keeper H2H Catagory based league. This is a full blown keep all dynasty league with no cap. Catagorys are Goals assists, Pts, SOG, hits, Blks, FOW, Toi, W, GAA, Sv%, SV. No salary cap deep roster with 25 player minor system

My team is currently rebuilding.

The offer is my Elias Pettersson, Alexis Lafranier and Nicholas Roy for Miro Hieskanen, Martin Necas and 1st rounder ( team is dead last by a long shot and it has a very high chance of Wright although there is a lottery )

Note: Elias Petterssons lack of faceoffs hurt his value.

I’m thinking I should take it mainly because Petterssons lack of Faceoffs for someone who takes a centre spot. Thoughts?

If you're looking for an upgrade at C, that trade doesn't help you. Necas might have C eligibility, depending on where you're playing, but in his past 5 games, Pettersson has taken 20% as many faceoffs as Necas has for his entire career.

In a 16 team league, Pettersson alone ought to be enough to get you Heiskanen and Necas, then you're trading Lafreniere and Roy (who is kind of irrelevant) for a shot at Wright. Personally, I wouldn't do that.

It would be helpful to see your roster. Without knowing if Heiskanen is a serious upgrade, I'm inclined to say that Petterson, Laf, and Roy can fetch a better return or they should be paired with different players to fetch a greater return.

Heiskanen and Necas and a 1st are good pieces but I sense that you can get more.

In the end, I would look for an improvement on Heiskanen or Necas to make it worth it.

That's why I said depending on where you play. On Yahoo, he's got C/RW eligibility, but on other sites, he's RW only. From what I've heard, the Canes view him as C long term, but have had him playing the wing to give him one less thing (i.e., faceoffs) to worry about while developing. That said, from a fantasy perspective, I think he's more valuable as a winger with a shot at playing alongside Aho than as a C on his own line.

I would see if you can swap in another player on your side in place of Lafreniere, but as jdreed3184 said, it would be helpful to know what your roster is because maybe Heiskanen is a huge upgrade for you, in which case it might be worth it.

My dcore is has Dahlin, Quinn Hughes, McAvoy, Makar, Savard ( beast with Blks and hits ), Manson and Ristolainen defence is absolutely the best in the league on the other hand My forwards are rather weak ( a few notables are Eichel, Aho, Lindholm, Thomas, Mangiapane, Tuch and my goaltending is solid with Demko/Lehner as a tandem. Yeah, you definitely don't need Heiskanen. Like I said, I'd either try to trade away someone other than Lafreniere or try to get the other manager to throw swap a forward for Heiskanen.

Lafranier is someone who he values highly and I’m really not sure what to think of him. Maybe he’s going to be a Yakapov 2.0 or a player like Brandon Saad I have him in two leagues so apart of me wants to recoup assets in 1 league
