    Default Powers/Sanderson/Niemela

Have the opportunity to acquire one of these 3 D, I'm highest on Powers but it will cost me the most. Would like to get some thoughts on upside/eta on the following 3.

    Categories - D-G, G, A, PPP, SHP, SoG, Hits/Blocks, FoW, FoW%, Give/Take, Wins, GAA, Save%, Saves.

    C: Tavares $33, Eichel $16 (1st yr FP), Trocheck $18, Jenner $9 Beniers $2 (1st yr RC)

    W: Ovechkin $18, Hintz $17, Pavelski $11, Zacha $10, Kaprizov $7, Johnston $2 (1st yr RC), Reichel $2 (1st yr RC), Bertuzzi $1, Tippet $1

    D: Burns $20, Jones $17, Werenski $16 (2nd yr FP), Matheson $5, Spurgeon $1, OEL $1

Power by far then Sanderson is likely to make the nhl but his offensive impact is questionable vs Niemela who has potential to be a pp QB but I’m not sure how high I am on him reaching that point.

Power by far??? I’m not sure about that. Power and Sanderson have almost identical stats in their respective College careers. Saying JS offensive impact is questionable is a stretch.

    Anyway. I’d still say

Power and Sanderson imo are a toss up. They both have an incumbent to deal with. I would go with whichever is cheaper. Big fan of Niemela but he is 2 or 3 tiers below

So these are the deals he's willing to do.

Rossi + a 1st for Powers (I also own Kap, so doing this would gut me as I am very hopeful for a dynamic Rossi/Kap duo in the near future).
    Beniers for Sanderson
    Wyatt Johnston + a 2nd for Niemela

He has no prospect centers and the only prospect D I have currently is Scott Morrow, figured we could shore up each other's weaknesses.

Maybe the 2nd but I don’t really like any of these deals lol Ds are alot riskier to project so I am always one to trade them away in their D+1 ish and acquire more sure players. I like Rossi over Powers and Beniers over Sanderson

If you are to trade Rossi, go for a young D who is currently playing who is producing with some upside. Someone like Theodore could be had for that Rossi package

I think Beniers for Sanderson is fine. Idk if I would do it, but it’s even. Definitely no to the power deal. The Niemela deal is also fine.

Trade 1 - no for me, that's a bit steep for Power who will likely sit behind Dahlin for pp1. Rossi has a chance to move in as Minni's 1C. I don't even think I'd trade Rossi straight up for Power, let alone add a first.

Trade 2 - this one is closer for me. I like that Beniers has a solid path to 1c in Seattle. Lots of PP1 opportunity there for him. Sanderson is likely behind Chabot but he is a stud so I'd understand wanting to strengthen your D if you're okay at Center. He should fill a lot of your cats as he is a great defensive player (i like how far his offensive game has come too). Anyways this is the only trade I'd be considering.

Trade 3 - Not a chance for me. Wyatt Johnson has taken crazy leaps this year and is currently leading the entire CHL in scoring with 65 points in 35 games. He's been incredible and is leading his team in scoring by 25 points. I would not let this player go right now and I certainly wouldn't be adding a pick. See how his season plays out, he could put up 120 points...

And I really like Scott Morrow, although I understand it's difficult to crack that Carolina D roster... He could be their future pp1 quarterback, imo.

FW: Aho, Eichel, Draisatl, Rantanen, Marchand, Matthews, Kyrou, J. Robertson, Bergeron, Duchene, Boldy, Toffoli, Kempe, Krejci, Schmaltz

D: Rielly, Heiskenen, Dobson, Drysdale, Byram, Nurse, Weegar, Matheson, Clarke

If Power is indeed the better option here, and he may well be, the reality is that Sanderson is not very far behind at all, it's close. I, like others, don't see Niemela making waves in the NHL anytime soon, he as others have said is a tier below Power and Sanderson and this is especially true in a multi cat format such as your league. The offer that I like is Beniers for Sanderson. If your sig is accurate ) I don't see Bernier listed BTW) you have a nice collection of prospect forwards but you do not have any D prospects with the exception of Perunovich, Sanderson would be a good add for you IMO and Beniers is expendable to get it done.
