Samsonov

[Stalinism]

Anybody have any idea what's going on here? Typically in the past, Samsonov has pretty much split 60/40 with Vanecek while he's healthy. Vanecek has pulled around a .900 for the past few games yet continues to get the starts over Samsonov.

Is there an undisclosed injury? Is it internal issues? Are one of them being showcased for trade?

Sammy hasn’t played well in awhile, and he opened the door, and Vanecek is no slouch and has been playing nicely lately so be it’s a no-brainer for them to give him the crease. And he’s about to pitch a 30+ save shutout tonight.

I think all of us Samsonov owners need to be a bit more patient - he’s taking a bit longer than Sorokin and esp Shesterkin for sure, and there are perhaps troubling signs about his mental toughness, but he comes from that excellent Russian generation of young goalies and I think his skill will eventually overcome.

I have Samsnov aswell and. I do like him better than Vanchek. However our deadline is approaching and need to cover bases. I’m sitting 4th in head to head rotisserie and my goalies are hurting me

I have Hart and Samsnov so Vanchek will cover me for next year as well.

Saw rumour on a site( not sure how reliable site is). That Caps interested in Fleury

Fleury's agent has almost certainly "leaked" the idea that every contender with goaltending issues is interested in Fleury. Chicago would do well to deal him and Fleury certainly would rather be with a contender than wallow with Chicago for his (probable?) last year in the NHL.
