MacKinnon vs Kucherov

Is there a meaningful difference between them beyond this year? I’ve had Kucherov for a while and his back to back stints on LTIR, plus the nature of his injury and hip surgery have me anxious. I’m wondering if I should try to cash in on him now. I don’t want to be looking back in another year or two and wishing I had made a move when his value was highest. Basically trying to avoid dealing with what Seguin owners are going through. He’s getting closer to 30 but should still have name and actual value. But other GMs are already uneasy trading for him because of his IR history. I’d only move him for McJesus, Draisaitl, Matthews, or MacKinnon, and the GMs of the first three guys already said no.

MacKinnon is 2 years younger, hasn’t had any major / repeat injuries (as far as I remember) but does play at a traditionally deeper C position. If there was a 1 for 1 deal to be had here, am I really moving the needle by swapping Kuch for Mack? Or am I trying to force something that doesn’t make sense?
