    Default Thoughts on Necas? REP

I was expecting a little more from him this year than what he’s done. I don’t watch much Carolina, so if someone with a little more info on him could let me know what we should expect from this guy moving forward, I’d appreciate it!

.65 pts/game for a 23 year old seeing very little PP time is not too bad IMO. I think the bigger breakout happens next year, he only has 159 NHL games under his belt, the best is yet to come.

I’m expecting big things from Necas. He shows flashes of his potential and once that breakout happens it’s going to be nasty. For example, did you see how he played against Vancouver last week? Once he gets full deployment on the PP1, and reaches his full potential with confidence, I think we’re looking at a star player. Be patient!

Thanks for the buy low indicator bbgl1987.

Ive been waiting for an opportunity to trade for Necas, and the perfect time is when there is some doubt. I also see talent there like bubba, that just needs some more time to marinate.

I agree, plenty of talent for him to breakout within the next couple of years. A few players leaving/traded to other teams and this guy becomes a top liner. Matter of time and opportunity.

I'm hanging on because he was a keeper of mine in a keep 10, and now I'm in 1st so no real need to panic yet.

I definitely expected more coming into this year but the logjam of talent while still winning games, we might have to wait until next year for the real breakout.

Reminds me a bit of Patranak when he first made league. Not as high upside but should be solid and fantasy worthy.

He's on a deep team and still getting solid minutes. Should only get better.

I'm not quite as high on his ceiling as others - though I see the talent there for sure. CAR though just isn't an ideal environment for him to max out his fantasy value, with how they roll 4 lines and with the number of excellent prospects (e.g. Jarvis) he'll be competing with in the near future.

I personally see a .7-.9/gm average as his usual in the next few years which is fantastic - but don't see that "superstar" upside in his current situation.

As others have said - it may be another 2-3 years, but worth the wait as he strikes me as a (as Princeton said) solid and fantasy worthy guy.
