Absolutely. In your format with goals counting for 3 points, GWG, Hatties and OT goals all contributing to your scoring, Giroux is the better own for sure. As good as Backstrom is he is not a goal scorer but a set up man. As well, Backstrom coming off a long layoff due to injury has got to be a bit of a concern. The problem is, I don't see how the Giroux owner would consider that trade unless it's sweetened up a bit.

Your max GPs makes this a closer question imo.
I'd still likely lean G over Backy this year - so tough to gauge how a guy will return from a significant injury - but I think it'll be close on a per game basis in the end.

So I ended up flipping Couture for Giroux instead! Helped with my wing depth, although still need to work on RW, but got rid of a centre at least..
