Because it's Hall.
He goes to a new team, plays well initially, gets a contract or renewed hope, then goes back to coasting. The guy doesn't believe in hard practice or hard work and thinks he can just get by on talent.
11 points in 21 games.
"Yeah but he plays with Coyle and Smith"
Well, he had a chance to play with Pasta and Bergy for 3 games and only got one sleezy secondary assist.
I've watched a few bruins games, and it's not like he passes the eye test either. He's a mess in every 3 zones.
Quite a pain because his 14 pts in 16 games with the bruins last year gave me false hopes.
Anyway, if you read that, get your shit together Taylor you're ****ing up my fantasy hockey season.

Interesting. I just got done reading on The Athletic how Hall looked really good while Marchand was suspended. He didn't score over those three games but generated 18 scoring chances over those games. I'll copy what was said in that article:
Maybe I'm crazy but if I'm reading this right, they might look at breaking up the Perfection Line for a bit and leaving Hall up with the big boys.Every player has quiet nights. But Hall’s flickering performance was especially noticeable because of the ruckus he brought in the previous three games as the No. 1 left wing during Brad Marchand’s suspension. He didn’t score during five-on-five play. But Hall played with presence on the first line, totaling 18 attempts in the three-game stretch.
The trick the Bruins have to pull off is to make Hall just as effective when he is not riding with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak. There isn’t an easy answer. The Bruins are wary of splitting up Marchand and Bergeron, their most crackling all-situations duo. One fix would be shifting Pastrnak to the second line and moving Smith up to Bergeron’s right side. But that would bust up the Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak powerhouse.
Somehow, Hall has to express more of his offensive talent while riding with Coyle and Smith.
“We’ll figure out where we want to go for (Thursday against Edmonton) as far as our lines,” Sacco said. “But we just thought we’d give it a chance to give it a shot in the arm to jolt our offense a little bit.”

Hall gets bored.
Gets to a new situation, focus ramps up. Relied upon on for a short time, focus ramps up. Relied upon for a long time, gets bored or tired and loses focus.
I wonder if there's a coach out there that can manage Hall to the point of managing Kessel in Pittsburgh. It's a task only a couple of humans in the industry can prolly do.

Apparently 2 summers ago Hall went to the camp Crosby, marchand and Mackinnon run every year and was baffled at it. He said "why the hell are they trying so hard, it's just summer practice camp".
Batherson apparently just ignored him and joined the hard work. And it shows.
Because Boston just isn't that good this year.
Haha Hall. I totally forgot he was on Boston until he showed up for a couple shifts during the game last night and I was like oh, yeah, Hall is on this team. I've never been a fan.
Boston should be good, if he played better they would be!
I love the Leaf fans that are made the Leafs didn't keep Hall or Foligno, but I don't hear anyone upset that they don't have those 9.8mill/yr guys on the team.
Hall has gone from premier FA to ghost on the ice. You remove 2 seasons in his career and he's a 50pt/yr injury prone winger.

Talent + hard work is somehow better than just talent alone??? Weird.
