Default Drop decisions to ride some streaks

I'm thinking of changing my approach (team 1 in signature), and stop holding onto players out of 'draft loyalty' or historical data and just riding the streaks.

In doing that, I need to purge the two points above in considering to drop Wheeler and Palat.

Bratt and Buchnevich are available, and yes I have less desirable "names" like Schwartz, Thomas and Rakell on my roster ... but they are all simply performing (better) compared to those two and after 7 weeks, I've gotten no value from Wheeler or Palat.

I've tried a few trades, but they aren't frequent in my league.

Thoughts? Stick it out? Ride the streakers?

There are many GMs in such position, with roster filled with either valuable or hot players. Me included ;-)

Did you tried a trade? Especially 2for1 or 3for2 to make a roster space.

Your side of trade could be little unprofitable, because you will face the similar drop decisions anyway, as I assume your IR slots are filled and the players will get healthy.

But if you already made your mind and u are going to drop somebody, I see these candidates:

Palat - I have him and I considered to drop him these days (because he is lost without Brayden Point). But I got an offer for him today, so I am considering options. Decision is hard, because he plays 1PP and have more ice time when Point and Kutcherov are away.

Rakell - I have him too, just picked him up and will wait today and tomorrow if he continues to produce (I take match against Toronto as exception).

Wheeler - I have his buddy Scheifele and they are on same ship. Both after COVID19 and slumping (together with whole team - but the feedback from other experts that they will turn around). But Wheeler is also older, so it may be natural decline mixed with after COVID effects. Maybe he needs more time, they say his last 2 games were best in season.

Your other players I see as not droppable except maybe Schwartz - but I dont have Seattle under radar and they are is turning around, so I will not comment him deeper.

If you post some free agents available in your league, we could have a better picture.
