Need to bring Meier off IR

I need to bring back Timo Meier since he cleared protocols. Drop Raymond or Boeser to bring him back? I’ve shopped both around the league with no takers, but I know for a fact both will be scooped in FA. Having a tough time making a call here.

LW: Ovi, Svech, Panarin, B Tkachuk (also C), Raymond (also RW)
RW: Marner, Boeser
D: Makar, Petry, Chabot, Letang, DeAngelo
G: Shesterkin, Markstrom
IR: Meier (RW), E Kane (LW)

Geez that's a tough call. I guess Raymond is the drop here.

In these situations I usually bite the bullet for a couple of days and let them stay on IR. Perhaps you get a new injury/covid situation and don't lose anybody. Or maybe it just becomes more obvious who to drop in a few more days. If you can hold off, that's what I'd do. Also I guess there's a chance Meier is a bit rusty, so maybe that's another excuse to hold off a bit.

We start 2 C, 2 RW, 2 LW, 4 D and 2 G. We have 4 bench and 2 IR spots.

Actually now reading this, I like pmorrow's stance here. As long as you can survive without making moves for a few days I would hold him on IR until we're through the weekend and then reassess.

You can get 3 games of Lucas in, sacrificing just 2 games of Meier if you wait until the 18th. With how he's been doing I rather the 3 games of Lucas.

Boeser would also be 3 games.

I'd keep him on IR.
