Alex Newhook - updates on him?
Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone had some news on Newhook.
He seemed to have an open spot for him on the top 6, but was sent down weirdly quickly. Read it was for Cap management reason, but another no name got called back. 3 pts in 4 games in the AHL with amazing comments from the coach.
I'm looking at the top nine in colorado and I don't see any logic reason why Newhook isn't there. Can anyone enlighten me?
Should patience be a virtue, or is it a signal there's something wrong? Do you see him being called back this season, and get a chance to see what the kid is made of?

He’s got 3 points in 4 although 2 were PP goals, he’s doing fine.
My guess is he gets called up by latest December and then he stays for good - he’s just too good to stay down too long and his contract is perfect for the Avs.

Looks like he is being called back up to the big club! Wonder if he will be up for long or just to cover the MacK injury hmmm... but 11 points in 10 games in the minors ain't so bad! lol

Daily faceoff has him slotted in to the 3C role but who knows where he plays come game time. Just looking forward to seeing him get some opportunity!

Just be aware that they make do some paper transactions to demote him for a day or two when they have a break to gain cap breathing room later.

Snapped him up as soon as I saw his name on the score sheet. Those AHL numbers combined with the coach's stated desire to get him into the top 6 at some point - he's a great pickup if you have room.
