    Default Thoughts on Tolvanen?

What do you guys think of Eeli Tolvanen? He's showed flashes of promise, particularly last season...is it a matter of time before he breaks through? Or is his fantasy ceiling limited because of the team he plays for? Curious to know your thoughts.

Nashville has some declining forwards on contract, but they're mainly centers, while Tolvanen is a wing. He opened enough eyes last season for him to be in the picture for 2021-22. I would expect him to tally 45-55 points this season. Long term he might be more of a guy who could get you points in the 60s plus some nice multi-cat stats.

I just don't think his offensive upside is as high as fantasy owners would like it to be. I've never seen him as anything more than a 50ish (+/- 5) probably guy.

Kinda funny, 1G in his first 6 games... last year, 1G in his first 6 games

I anticipated top 6 minutes out of the gate, but he's actually starting at a similar pace as last year Eeli Tolvanen.jpg

Unless he starts heating up (which I doubt), he will start in that mid 50s type of player.

I'll try to ship him as soon as he has a decent sequence.

If he does reach the 50-point mark, I'll be curious to see if he's a consistent point producer or hot and cold. I'm guessing the latter, but I guess we'll see. Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm beginning to think that myself.

Yeah...he's not a fast starter so far, that's for sure. I see the talent and he doesn't have a lot of NHL under his belt yet, but if he is a 50 point player I'd prefer a guy who isn't as hot and cold. Something to keep an eye on.

I’d say 50-60 points would be a great year for him, but I don’t think he’s hitting that this year.

I've been leaning that way, too. Thanks!
