i think you might actually be able to grab a starter for meier the way he has currently played. maybe like peterson or ullmark? not sure why your dude grabbed knight in round 6 in a 1 year league, but ok then
I previously offered Couture for Knight but the GM said no. Likely because I drafted Couture round 17 and he took Knight round 6. He just offered me his Mantha and Knight for my Meier. If I accepted, I'd drop DeSmith. The way I see it is Meier>Mantha, Knight>DeSmith.
Any thoughts on this new offer and if it improves my team? Bobrovsky is playing well but securing all 82 Florida starts would be very nice. Or should I tell the GM the best I'll do is Couture or Norris for Knight?

The thing about Bob is when he's good, he's really good and when he's bad he's terrible - there's rarely a season where he's in the middle. So given what we've seen so far, even though it's a small sample size I'd bank on Bob having a solid season, reducing Knight value accordingly. I think selling Meier is sensible, but agree with others that he should net you more than Knight.
This also brings up a big issue with trading this early in the season, which is GMs still value players based on where they were drafted, when of course that stops mattering the day after the draft, except I suppose in leagues where retentions are in fact based on where players were drafted. If other GMs won't make a trade because of value they're still attaching to a player's draft position, it's all the less likely you'll be able to make a good deal with them.
