Is he the real deal? I'm thinking about dropping Cozens for him despite rebuilding, Bunting is still relatively young. He's on the 2nd line and PP2 playing 15 min a night so far. Team and scoring in sig if you think there's someone I should drop for Bunting instead of Cozens.

If I’m rebuilding, I think Cozens would be my pick here. If you can give Buffalo a minute to get their shit together, Cozens will be central to their success. Bunting is a line shake up away from being irrelevant.

I like Bunting a lot but dropping Cozens for him will likely be a move you regret later. After watching the Leaf games to start the season, Bunting has been more impressive than Ritchie and Kase which likely ensures a top 6 spot. Kase looks good too but Toronto wants a gritty player on those top lines and he fits nicely with Kerfoot on an energy 3rd line. In deeper leagues, Bunting should already be claimed.

Lets put it this way, if Dobbers' top prospect forward rating is anywhere near being accurate, Bunting is 56th on the list, Cozens is 9th. I like what Bunting is doing and if your in a win now situation in a roto league he could be a nice own for the rest of the season but maintaining his current role is not a slam dunk given, so there is risk. However, if I'm rebuilding I am taking the upside of all of the prospects you have listed over Bunting. While the "grit" that Bunting brings is enticing in some scoring formats, your scoring format with limited value for Hits and heavy weighting for goals and assists makes Bunting a much weaker option than your other rookies IMO.

From your reply and all the others, sounds like I was being a bit too impulsive. Glad I posted here first! Thanks for the advice.

I probably wouldn't drop Cozens for Bunting, but fwiw I'm pretty high on Bunting. He's a potential Hyman replacement and the way he plays with passion and grit is exactly what the Leafs need.

Bunting gives !e marchamd vibes- weasely player a bit greasy and a late bloomer. Not saying hell ever get that good but I think he's got some hidden upside.

Mark me down for cozens in a rebuild tho- anyone else you could drop??

If it's your league in sig and you don't much care about being competitive I would drop Ullmark for Bunting. I don't think a 28 YO 1B goalie has a ton of value for your team. Or Rask, unless he is on your IR.

1 B goalie? based on one game he didnt start? they paid too much money for that...Ullmark will be very good own for 2-3 years...but if idea is to tank and get good picks next 2 years...yeah drop Ullmark for Bunting.

Home openers are like outdoor games. Coaches are telling us something with the decisions they make. Ullmark absolutely is the 1B in Boston now.

I dropped Rask and added Bunting by adding J. Robertson to IR. Robertson will be off IR very soon though so then I'll have a decision to make. I don't mind the idea of dropping Ullmark, I might try to trade him first. While I have been convinced by these replies to not drop Cozens, maybe Jarvis is droppable? Seem like it would be better to drop Ullmark than Jarvis given my situation though.
