Training Camp Surprises '21 so far?

A surprise (at least to me) on the negative side is Dylan Strome, who appears to be in Colliton's doghouse and may not even be in the opening night lineup.

Strome doesn't have a place on the Blackhawks. With Dach, Toews, Johnson, and Carpenter, they have their 4 centers. And this is with Kurashev, Borgstrom, and Gaudette playing on the wing. Strome is a good offensive player but he's slow and poor in his defensive end. He's been on the "outs" with Colliton for a while. As someone who follows the Hawks, this doesn't surprise me at all. I would think that the Hawks would trade him for anything reasonable.

though Trocheck is listed as IR - and is likely to be considered "healthy" for their opener on Thursday.

He'll play the full season, starting at 3C, and could take over 2LW if Nich falters. I expect big things from him this season and long term!
