If DeAngelo learned to keep his mouth shut and play he’s a candidate for 60+ Points. It’s a risk but it’s likely that’s where Hintz tops out at. You’re depth is strong in these situations I am a bit of a risk taker but that’s my take on it.

This is a serious consideration here as DeAngelo is the only D in our draft that has a legetimate chance to reach 50pts. The other ones after are Hronek, Ekman-Larsson, Weager ans so on.

How long do you have to decide?
Teams are going into Day3 of training camps today.
I don't think many teams have worked their PP1 unit yet... but today might be the day, since first exhibition games are tonight/tomorrow.

Most teams practice about 9am-noon EST... so you might check some of the CAR beat reporters on twitter to check for line combos.

    Oh... well, wait then.
    You'll know.
If Deangelo comes out of training camp as the ABSOLUTELY CLEAR PP1 D-man for Carolina... then him.

If there is ANY doubt that he'll be the PP1 guy all year... then Hintz.
I prefer Hintz... more because I prefer having that 10th, 11th, 12th forward when you count 9.

It's also beneficial to have a 5th D, when you have 4... as you do.
I just think the four you have are very solid, healthy, and I don't see good odds that Deangelo will outscore those 4.

    Hi,

The draft was yesterday, both Hintz and DeAngelo were gone before I speak... but not Kuemper soI grabbed him. My only concern is that I already have Vasilevskyi, and I left on the table good offensive options: Burakovski and Bjorstrand .

    Was it the right move?
