John Carlson vs Chabot

Who do you have for this year and next 3 years?

Carlson is 31 years old. For defensemen, i assume he is still in his prime for next 3 years.

Chabot is younger and future.

My current 5 keepers (Aho, B Tkachuk, M Tkachuk, Fox, Shesterkin)

and debating between trading a 1st for Carlson or keep Chabot. Is Carlson a good enough upgrade for next 3 years over Chabot to give a 1st round pick (in exchange for a 3rd round pick + Carlson?

In a limited keeper like this, being a multi-cat league, I wouldnt keep Quinn Hughes. Sure he scores a lot for a Dman but he lacks value in a multicat league like yours. Chabot is probably better value if you really WANT to keep a Dman simply because he covers so many categories better than Hughes. I'd trade Hughes for Carlson before Chabot, then keep Carlson and Reinhart (if that's a possibility).
