I also think everyone is drafting wrong. Hear me out.
There are 9 starter spots.
2-RB 2-WR 1-T/R/W 1-QB 1-TE 1-DEF 1-K

So instead of fighting for RB's and WR's you go pick:
1st- TE 2nd- QB 3rd- DEF 4th- K
Effectively winning 4/9 positions!
If you have a top 2 pick you can go 1st- RB/WR and try and win 4/9 and maybe 2nd best TE.

I tell you awesome secret just dont use it against me tomorrow night...

Well, I got my QB sniped by an autopick. Had Tannehill and Stafford still available with a few picks before mine. I know PH still needed a QB but everyone else was set. PH too Tannehill so I was all set to pick Stafford but he was taken the pick before mine. Sigh...

Oh well, go Fitzpatrick and Lawrence!

ah yes... I was noticing and thinking the same thing. But I have been burned by auto picking a 2nd QBs before. That’s why I picked Tannehill a little earlier than I woulda liked. But i was watching him and Stafford as well

That sucks man, never fun when the connection screws you over. Hopefully some smart in season moves can keep you competitive.

Nah I'm over it, not wasting my time on such a terrible autodrafted team for my first time. I set all my players to the bench so it's fair for everyone facing me.

I’d like to respectfully ask you to reconsider man. It shouldn’t take long to set and manage your roster moving forward and it affects 10 other guys (since one other already bailed last minute). While your roster is far from perfect, you have the foundation to win a few weeks. It’s H2H so if you sneak into the playoffs, pretty much anything can happen.

Having one dead team is bad enough, but having two dead teams can really cripple the league and hurt the fun for everyone moving forward. With guys like Kupp, Mahomes, Aaron Jones (even his handcuff in Dillon), I think this team could surprise you.

Not to pile on but you wouldn't be the first to auto draft a team and go to the playoffs or even win the league. Fantasy is so unpredictable. Maybe you got dealt a bad hand but you can make the best of it.

I echo this... the autodraft is not as bad as it seems. My First ever NFL Fantasy draft was in Cam Newton's rookie year...

I ended up stepping on a utility knife that someone left on the ground during a team-building function at Niagara Falls... spent the night in some Toronto hospital waiting to get stitches.... missed the draft completely and autodraft ended up drafting me Cam Newton and my QB and I rode his rookie season (4051 passing yards, 706 rushing yards, 35 combined TDS) to a championship!!

Its been all downhill from there... maybe I should let autodraft pick my team more often!

Why.. 10 team league better than an 11 team league.

If it was hockey I'd just make do because I've been there done it before, but I'm in this for other reasons that are now screwed. Dobber Expert league 2 years ago I got autodrafted the whole thing (Big Buff in round 7 ouch - never played) plugged through and finished 3rd.

It was even more important to me, for this football draft, that it was a team that I picked.

So did the autopick mean to pick the handcuff or just coincidence? I'm guessing coincidence since it wanted to draft me two DST. It's funny because I'm not even a fan of handcuffing.
