Shedding Cap Space. Cut who?

2nd year of a dynasty league. Weekly H2H counting goals, assists, points and save %. Start 12F, 6D and 2G

Lots of new contracts on my team so need to shed some cap space. Of the following players/contracts which would you drop to shed around $10M?

Kevin Fiala (rfa)
Oliver Bjorkstrand ($5,4M/5 years)
Conor Garland ($4,95/5 years)
Kyle Connor ($7,15/5 years)
Travis Konecny ($5,5/4 years)
Anthony Beauvillier (rfa)
Andrei Svechnikov (rfa)
John Carlson ($8/5 years)

Philipp Grubauer ($5.9/6 years)

Rookies in farm team, all under $1M/year, I can bring up as replacements (if they play) : Rossi, Lundell, Krebs, Tomisao, Turcotte, Podkolzin, Valimaki, Brannstrom, R. Merkley.

I'm thinking Grubauer is a cut considering new team and with only 1 goalie cat. Frees up $3,33M.

We will also have a draft of around 3 rounds for free agents.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Grubauer is definitely the first cut because of your setup. Carlson would be my first cut among the skaters.

Agree with others. Easy to cut Grubs and redraft some D. Good luck.

Mostly agree with the others. Trying to trade makes sense, but Grubauer is an easy cut if you can't deal him.

I'm pretty sure not sure I wouldn't cut Carlson. Given that you can bench him and have him not count against the cap, he & Theodore make a sort of tandem for you.

Unfortunately in this league (not in signature) only rookies on entry level contracts don't count against the cap when on farm team.

Too bad there is no way to hide up a contract but CAP leagues are ass pain (:

I agree with the proposed drops, Grubs first, Carlson if necessary. All you can do is try and work some trades and hopefully something works out, however if that is not the case I'm not agonizing over these two drops.
