    Default Drysdale or Clarke?

So a GM in my league was trying to sell to me that his Brandt Clarke is as valuable as my Drysdale. Am I nuts for thinking it’s way too soon to make that comparison?
12 teams. Keep 9 any position.
7 prospects. D scoring 3.75 for goal, 2.75 for assist. Forwards 3.5 for goal, 2.5 for assist. 0.5 for hits and blocks. Goalie scoring -1.5 GA, 0.3 for save, 2 points for win and extra 2 for shutout.

    Pre Draft

F: Keller, Zegras, Suzuki, Caufield, Cozens

    D: Drysdale, Guhle, Perunovich

    G:

    IR:

Prospects: W. Johnston, K. Johnson, Guenther, Morrow, Mateychuk

I would take Drysdale over Clarke at the moment.

But both teams are stacked for prospects and both could be great D-men on young high-scoring teams.

    You're not nuts.
Drysdale is further ahead in development, obviously. He already has a clear path to the 1st PP this coming season.
    I would definitely keep Drysdale.
Things could be closer in a couple of seasons, IMO.

I agree with this. Drysdale is ready to go. Clarke may be there within 2-3 years.
Call me old one more time.

He might not be completely wrong because I think that Clarke will be a stud and better then Drysdale. With that said, Drysdale is more proven, more advanced in his progression as the others said. Therefore 1 vs 1 that's poor value and you keep Drysdale.

But with a significant add, I would like Clarke + since I'm a believer.

I agree with the rest, Drysdale is where you want Clarke to be, one or two years from now. I actually think Clarke has higher point upside, but both are great young talents. And Drysdale will likely help more this coming season.

And whether the fellow GM hypes their guy or not (of course they would ). Really, that's for you to decide, so good on you for checking in with the forum 👍.
