Sure Kane is probably a piece of shit human being... I don't think anyone doubts that. But his wife also has all the incentive in the world to bury him with wild accusations right now, especially in the middle of a nasty divorce.

I personally don't believe even Kane is stupid enough to bet on his own games and throw them. His stats last season certainly don't support the accusation.
In my experience piece-of-shit humans tend to surround themselves with other piece-of-shit humans, so yes I'm sure this woman is less than a prize and I don't have much faith in anything she might have to say unless there's proof to back it up.

I found myself not caring very much about the gambling allegations, unless he was betting on games his own team was involved in. With sports leagues being so tied to gambling money now, they deserve every problem they have with players gambling.

Given his money stacks pushups, and going bankrupt, I would be unsurprised if he had a gambling problem, but of course I don't know that.

I'm more troubled by the not caring about his kid, but there are often two or more sides to that stuff.

THREE Sides, to every story. His side, her side, and the truth.

I wouldnt be surprised if he's gambling on hockey because he's already shown during the lockout he loves to gamble. I just dont see him gambling against himself because he actually had another good year.

I've never liked Evander Kane the person.
Met him live at an event in Atlanta once, he was doing autograph signings at a Canada Day event back when he was a rookie.
Some people just rub you the wrong way immediately.

They say first impressions are usually correct. I've never felt differently (better) about him since that day.
Everything I've seen/read on him in media & interviews since then... same vibe.

This is my comment on him.

I actually got Alex Tuch and a potential mid-2nd round pick if Kane plays.

In an Instagram post on Saturday evening, Evander Kane's wife has accused the San Jose Sharks forward of gambling on his own NHL games.

In the post, Anna Kane also accused the NHLer of taking vacations and partying while she and his baby are at home without enough money for formula.
Such a POS. His previous behaviour pretty much confirms what he's accused of.

Should be easy enough to confirm whether he's ever laid a wager on an NHL game or a Sharks game. And given his plain denial of both, if either turns out to be true, I'd imagine that's enough to sink him for good and the "throwing a game" part of it is irrelevant as it relates to him (still relevant to the NHL though, obviously).
I believe Kane is dumb enough to bet on his own team. Trouble seems to follow him around. That's not by accident.

As a great prospect, then a professional athlete, Kane has been pampered for most of his career. He has earned millions of dollars and he has gotten away with bad behaviour because of it. When there is no accountability, a person of his character will continue with that behaviour.

Doesn't mean he's guilty of everything accused of, especially when it's coming from an angry ex-wife. Better to wait for proof than take the word of someone who for all we know is an even worse person than him.

I don't think he would bet on his own games, or even NHL games. But who knows, if you're that far in debt you can try anything to get out of it.

But the issue for me when it comes to legal issues is that he's hanging out with criminals (if the wife is right). Who knows what else he's doing with them kind of thing.

    The wife/kid stuff is terrible.

The fact his teammates hate him and don't want a good player back on the team shows how people actually hate him too. Who knows what his NHL future is once his NHL contract is done too.
