7.5 mil per x 5 or 6 seasons
maybe a little less because of the no tax angle
Hello everyone!
I was wondering what you think his next contract will look like, and what are your predictions for Reinhart with the Panthers. League in signature. He was a keeper, and to my opinion his situation has improved… but I’d like a clear view on his new value.
Thx!

gonna be a major uptick in his scoring if he's that old Dadonov spot in Flerda!

Things could get interesting with the Panthers trying to get in under the CAP. Right now they have both Bennett and Reinhart to sign. Wenneberg, Wallmark, Gusev, Lamikko, Juulsen and Montour are also currently without contracts. Florida has just shy of 11.5 Mil in free cap to do this. How's that going to work out? If Butch is right and Reinhart gets an contract with an AAV of 7.5, that leaves the Cats with just short of 4 Mil to sign 7 players including Bennett. The most logical solution would be to move Hornqvists' 5.3 cap hit, but how likely is that? Sometimes NHL GM's actually earn their money (:

Not convinced he'll see an uptick in Florida. He was already getting plenty of time with Eichel which is a pretty good spot. There's a good chance Florida balances the lines in various ways so I think he spends roughly the same amount of time on Barkov's wing. Maybe less. Good for the team, maybe not so great for Reinhart's fantasy value.
Extension: 7M for 6 years if he signs now. If he waits he's taking a chance. We have no idea how the NHL will bounce back economically. We could be in for a few weird years cap-wise.
