League bent the rules for the NMC waiving rules for Price. They allowed MTL to submit his waived NMC form after the deadline. Then they say no to the idea of MTL trading Price to Seattle to eat half his salary and to move him back to MTL.
The league is so weird.

I saw it from someone on twitter who said it was from Frank Servelli. Then I heard it on the NHL XM radio station as well.

This story continues to evolve and percolate. I'm told as #SeaKraken continue to investigate Price's injuries, ownership has given hockey ops the full green light to select Price if Francis sees fit - health concerns and all. There is zero doubt they're considering it.

Just putting Fleury in a VGK jersey for a few months helped, I think, the club image.
SEA could do very similar with Price.
And I still think even if you lose the regular season with Price, let him heal/surgery... you can flip that to a playoff club making a run.
I mean... if Landeskog goes... what if there is a deal in Francis believes he can move Price to COL... wouldn't that be something!!!

I 100% think they should take price unless hes out for the entire season. such a good guy and leader who can be a franchise face type of player right away regardless of how he actually plays. i have no doubt his jersey sales would be a hit immediately. he also played junior hockey in washington state and will be closer to his home town if he does go to seattle.
the NMC waiver by price is a very interesting wrinkle as the league indeed let it happen which is against the norm. definitely unusual for a player to want to waive his NMC while the team probably really wasnt planning on doing so. should be interesting to see
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

Price has a full NMC - I doubt very much, if he's selected, that he'd approve another trade to a team not close to home.

An interesting read from Freidman about how Bergevin is dealing with the expansion draft. Sounds like a few GMs around the league aren't overly happy with his efforts.
