That, to me, would obviously help to add potential as to why Price was exposed. Otherwise, Bergy sees this as a very rare and only real chance they can move Price (and contract) without P. In the meantime, Bergy knows that an Allen for 2 more seasons and $10.5 Mil in the bank is better than Price for 5 more years and $0 in the bank. They have to retool quick before Suzuki, Caulfield and Romanov come off ELC contracts.
There's no rules that says they can't trade Price back right away. They aren't allowed to retain salary to trade him back is the CBA rule.
