wow. Glass never quite molded himself into a Vegas "style" player but I don't think Patrick has much of a chance to. Glass could benefit from this more than anyone.

Whom does this help/hurt? Does this hurt or help Cam York? David Farrance? Glass?

The top two it helps should be Patrick and Glass. I would not expect Ellis on PP1 in Philly. I’d expect Provorov or Gostisbehere there (if Gostis is still around).

He's a lefty, while Ellis and Myers both shoot right. I don't think it changes much for him.

Not sure what Vegas is thinking here.
People are fixated on Glass for some reason but truth is he has had fail for now just as Patric had based purely on expectations.

I think either of them has just as much of a chance of turning career around as the other…

My guess is they both become serviceable players that never came close to reaching potential..

Not sure why Vegas done this but I don’t think they made as big mistake as some think…

For many shine has not came of off glass yet but will soon IMO

McCrimmon must think he has some extra insight on Patrick going back to their time together with the Wheat Kings.

    It's an interesting trade.
    Feels like:
VGK - felt like Glass wasn't showing the C1/C2 potential they thought he'd have... feel that they need Patrick as C1/C2/C3 now.
NAS - felt like it needed offense... added forward (Glass) and downgraded D from Ellis-to-Myers
PHI - realized that the Myers-Sanheim pairing just didn't work... needed vet... and was willing to pay TWO young players to get it. Also, perhaps they had a replacement F7 protect they like with similar value to Patrick.

I honestly don't love this trade for any of the teams... feels like rotating parts.
Probably pans out most well for NAS - who needs to seriously think about rebuilding around a younger core.

Fantasy take: Huge offensive upside potential for Patrick. (Not much more impact for other players, IMO)
