Great question. I have both in one of my leagues so in the next 5-7 years I am hoping that Hischier takes some big steps. I think both are big parts of the offense moving forward but what I saw from Hischier this year (when he was injured vs when healthy) he was integral in everything the Devils did. Regular shifts, PP1, faceoffs, SH situations, so basically everything when healthy. He produced when healthy so I think he can hit the 80-90 points as a possible ceiling. Keller pretty much hit the 65 point mark already and I do see him being able to hit that again. But I will go slightly with Hischier because of the talent he will be playing with. This is a very close one. Good luck.

Tough one, but I am more confident in Hischier taking the next step forward offensively than I am Keller at this point.

The next 5-7 years? That's half of a career!

I'll go with Hischier. I prefer the current and future NJD situation over ARI.

The tournament of disappointing players commences... Man, this one is so tough. I'll have to do some research on this one. It's a toughy!

Doesn't J. Hughes figure into this discussion?
SOME POOL RULES. Points only (G-1, A-1). One year Hybrid Pool. 3 round draft with balance of roster selected from any undrafted NHLer.. 19F 4 D 2 Rooks SALARIES AND POSITIONS DO NOT MATTER (other than being a F or D). NO Inter-Team Trading, Bench or Minors. Our WAIVER WIRE is ANY player in the NHL who is not Drafted in our league's 3 round draft. Each manager gets 6 ADD/DROPS (TRADES) for the year...any player on roster can be TRADED for any unDrafted F/D/R from ANY NHL team. INJURY RULE "IR". A hurt player can be replaced by another F/D from HIS NHL team and this is NOT considered a trade.. Injured player can be put back on team any time.

I think it's safe to say that both these guys have disappointed their owners over the years. Both are 22 years old, seems like they have been around a lot longer. The thing that stands out for me is the fact that Keller has played 60 more NHL games than Hischier. Is this significant and is it a concern? I would suggest that it is. Obviously, Keller has put up more points although a very slight edge goes to Hischier in PTS/G .61 to .64. While Hischier has had his injury problems, Keller has been remarkably durable. I don't really see much difference in the environments they are playing in either, neither the Devils or the Yotes are offensive juggernauts and I don't see that changing much anytime soon and accordingly I don't think the teams or potential line mate swings this in favour of one over the other much. I think this is pretty much a dead heat IF Hischier can stay healthy. His track record in that respect has not been good. I'm taking Keller here.

Agree with this. Obviously depends if Keller is dealt and where. But until then... Nico

He does, in a positive for Hischier. Both should be fixtures on PP1 for years.

Frozen pools does an excellent comparison, especially when we look at the advanced analytics.

Hischier plays in all situations for NJ. Keller is strictly used in an offensive position. Keller gets a lot more jammy zone starts but doesn't seem to offer the production he should get from that benefit.
