    Default Vitali Kravtsov

    Hey guys,

Curious for any opinions on Kravtsov. Is he worth waiting on? I have a hard time imagining where he fits in with the Rangers longterm. Any chance at top 6?

If you could only keep one of Kravtsov or Kyrou, is there any reason to wait on the younger Kravtsov or Kyrou is already producing now and has similar upside.

    Thanks!

If you could only keep one, I'd say Kyrou as the path to immediate playing time is clearer for him. Kravtsov is big (6'3") so generally it will take longer for guys like him to acclimate to the NHL game. Frankly, I think Kravtsov is a pretty good candidate to be traded given the wealth of wingers on the team, so I'm not too worried about him being forever buried on the Rangers' third line or something. But Kyrou is here now so I'd favor him.

agreed, Kyrou is the keeper here..although as been mentioned here many times, STL does not produce big points guys, at least not since the heydays of Tank.

i had GM trying to convince me Rossi and Kravtsov are at the same level ....i personally dont buy it. I like Kravtsov bu i dont see a PPG player or anything close. Im not Kyrou fan either but i think he has bigger upside.

Appreciate the input, guys. I'll try and ship Kravtsov off for something and keep Kyrou. Thanks!

Kyrou. We already have a sample size and he has looked good and expectations are high that he will continue to improve. According to that Dobber character, Kyrou's upside is 82, Kravtsov's is 85, not much difference really. Where there is significant difference is that Kyrou has 99 NHL games under his belt and I believe he has solidified his place in the Blues line up. Kravtsov has 20 NHL games and from what I can see and others are saying, he has not "entrenched" himself in the Rags organization. I want the guy who is going to help me now and the guy with a whole lot less question marks surrounding his career. I'm not knocking Kravstov here, he will very likely have a solid NHL career but the start of that career is, in earnest, somewhat down the road IMO.

    Can't argue with that whatsoever.

I like the team Kravstov is on but he will be on the wait for some time. Kyrou is giving you the stats right now plus I do see him steadily increasing TOI and PPTOI which will in turn increase his stats also. Good luck
