NHL Draft Lottery - June 2

Always exciting for me - as every league I've ever commissioner-ed has tied our own draft lottery to the NHL draft lottery!
Great excitement to tune in.

Last year, in the WHL... when the Rangers hopped to #1... it was metaldude26 (with a draft slot of like... 9, 10... can't remember) that got the hop to Lafreniere.
I actually got the bump up to the #2 Kings spot with a pick I owned. Exciting to draft Byfield... but I also had the #2 pick int he Hischier/Patrick year... so... sort of bittersweet.

yeah all 3 of my leagues plus another im in are tied to NHL lottery as well. Hoping for NJ, Detroit, Cgy or Dallas in my rebuild league

My pick is aligned with Detroit and I am completely indifferent as to whether it goes up, down or stays the same. At this point, to me there is little difference between getting Berniers, Eklund, Lysel, Guenther, Johnson, or even Lucius, Sillinger, McTavish or Räty

Why even put in the Arizona pick lmao

Because it's easier to do that then it is to re-adjust the odds. The odds were set before the Arizona pick was determined.

Instead, the hockey Gods will grant you 7th - 10th pick - Benning will land a stud and solidify his hold on the GM job for another year
In other words no change to the Van script.

Oh and the Van media will scream bloody murder the team is cursed from drafting #1 OA. odds be damned.

Remove the pick the odds change. Imagine picking Arizona first and having to redo it, because of sheer laziness.

Just think it would look bad.

Any early prediction on who the top 3 teams take: BUF, SEA, ANA.
I'm reading many feel Owen Power (D-MichiganU) is consensus #1.
And, if Buffalo moves on from Risto... seems he could be used.
Though Power is a LH defenseman like Dahlin... so... hmmm...
