That would be step one. Expecting Seattle to draft a 32.5 year old goalie with five more years after this one, at $10M per season, could be a tall task too.

Anything is possible, but this seems like a stretch on lots of levels.

wasn't Hart great too when he debuted? need to cool your expectations when it comes to young goalies as he will have lots of ups and downs before he settles, but yes he was good, i actually watched most of the game.

Interesting, but very unlikely. For that to happen, the Panthers need to both sign Dreidger and get Bob to waive his no-move clause, which may be dicey since he wanted to move to someplace somewhat specific.

They have Montembault to expose to meet minimums, so that's covered. Derosiers is also available, but unlikely to be relevant.

Regarding all the Hart talk - his mobility and vision have been known issue for years as he was coming up. He's big and athletic but has had trouble reading plays and moving cross crease quickly. Philly took him knowing these were a knock but felt a lot could be fixed with coaching. Teams have figured him out to a certain extent. I think Hart is in trouble as an NHL goalie. I have not looked into the book on Knight much but given his draft position (13th overall vs Hart at 48th) I'm guessing he does have not have the potential holes in his game that Hart does. Comparing a hot start to a career that has fizzled for one young goalie to another makes zero sense. They are different players in different organizations. Lots of moving parts and who knows how good Knight is going to be...
