First, this is probably the thread title we'd have thought of as most unlikely at the beginning of the year.
Second, I'm taking Verhaeghe.

I would put 10$ on Hall outpointing Verhaeghe from here on out.
Just saying. I would take that bet.
New energy. Better players around him. He knows this is his last chance for a good contract. If he gets on that first PP unit too, then I am thinking he will take Verhaeghe down.

Carter Verhaege... even though Dobber or one of his writers (forgot who wrote the article) would have you believe, he's not a good enough skater, so don't expect a Jonathan Marchessault situation to happen there. Not only has it happened but his point-per-game numbers in Florida have been superior thus far. Damn you guys playing with my head, going against my intuition! I dropped him for Janne Koukkanen. To be fair, Janne has looked good with Jack Hughes. But as the gif with the little girl says, "Why not both?" I wished I maintained CV and went with my gut vs. taking the site's advice. hehe
History story or lesson aside, CV plays with Aleksander Barkov. As long as he's stapled to his side he'll put up a 60+ point prorate. Since Taylor Hall's MVP season, he has been disappointing minus an injury riddled season... I feel at this point that the risk/reward on Hall is heavily in favour of the risk factor to recommend him. The former 1st overall pick has a lot to prove before we can trust him again.
Taylor Hall for sure. Going to be much different story in Boston.
Thanks everyone ! Went with Verhaeghe !
