I was excited to pick up Zavgorodniy in a dynasty league, thinking that I'd found a sleeper (on dobber prospect, ranked with an 8.0 upside). However, it looks like he only has 1 point in 21 games in the AHL this season. As someone new to evaluating prospects (my first year of my first dynasty), I was hoping to get some insight from people who might know what to expect more. Is he just having a rough transition from overseas, or cause for concern in holding him? I'm just curious. Thanks in advance for your insight!
Cail Maclean was on the radio I believe yesterday and said he's just lost his confidence. Had a great camp and great start to the year but pucks weren't going on and now he's fighting about. Long term, he was a project with a high upside but low expectation to make the NHL? I don't think that has changed much, he's likely to need 2-3 years in the AHL anyways.
