Very reasonable move. His value is very likely to go up from here. Sports talk radio has started to have some rumblings about trading him, and sometimes those sorts of things get leaked from the club, but in this case, I'm thinking it's just the usual morons that inhabit Philadelphia sports talk radio.

Hey all,
I was offered John Gibson for my Carter Hart. Just wondering if I should be patient with Hart. Gibson is a great goalie, but the Anaheim team is lacking. The goalie stats for our league are 2 points for a win and an additional 3 points for a shutout.

A young goalie struggling...not a surprise. It's likely his first ever bad stint of hockey and he's got to figure out how to manage it. Having him take a mental break for a few days is smart. AV calling him out about his work ethic seems low tho, but it very well could just be us over-analyzing.
I think pushing Hart through the issues and forcing him to play in hindsight was not the right choice, and Elliott should have been leaned on more. I think he'll reset, but I don't know how someone can reset their mind fully in COVID rules. His break is him sitting kinda alone, not being able to really "reset" because how much is really going on and how much is he allowed to do. He can't chill with people.
I think he's roughly this level/tier of goalie for the rest of the yr.

Absolutely. Grab him & evaluate:
a) if he might be of service to you in the future - he still has good pedigree and weird things can happen/are happening in Covid-season or
b) you can some real goods from someone who believes point a) above
