Who to drop for Saros?

I'm leading my league by a fair margin, almost guaranteed of a top 2 seed and playoff bye.

But my goaltenders scare the shit outta me and I want the best options for the playoffs.

Right now rolling with Dobby, Bob, Talbot, and Kahkonen.

Would like to add Saros in case he takes off and one of my other guys (continues to) falter(s).

Should I drop Dobby for him? I can also drop Benn, as I'm pretty well set in just about the only thing he's giving me in SOG and Hits. Plus I have no problem streaming guys who are hot and can pad specific categories.

Is it worth it for Saros? Who should I drop? Is it too soon to bail on Dobby for a squad that can afford to wait it out?

If you're leading by a huge margin in a H2H league I would look ahead at their playoff matchups and choose accordingly.

Finals
Dobby: Carolina x2, TB, Nashville

Saros: Florida x2, Dallas

well, I'm less psyched about dropping Dobby with the Round 2 slate.

might wait till tomorrow to see if Saros gets another start against Detroit, if not he'll probably sit in FA for a bit longer

With Dallas playing 8 games in those 2 weeks, they will be splitting starts up likely and could have a 3 headed goalie monster with Bishop returning... FWIW i recently traded Dobby and picked up Saros as a replacement

now I'm wondering if Kahkonen is gonna split starts. dude has a 9 game win streak, allows 6, and now Talbot gets 3 straight and a b2b. what are we doing here Evason?

I was running the MIN tandem for a bit, but recently just dropped both and brought in Saros. Then Freddy Andersen went and got hurt, so I brought in Jones as well. But it is so hit or miss which MIN goalie gets the nod any given night. You either have to be committed to holding both and start whichever one gets the nod, or drop both and don't look back.

Saros is looking legit, and Dobby will have some issues once Bishop returns. Dallas does have a lot of games left, but how many of those will be quality starts is a whole other thing.

Detroit x4 isn't Buffalo x4, but it's very juicy.

Took me a moment to figure out who Dobby was.

If you really don't need Benn, I'd consider the 5 goalie move to let things shake out a bit, and to deny options to your foes in head to head.

Change of plans: dropped Kahkonen for Campbell with MN's next 2 against SJ and then a healthy dose of VGK/COL/STL it just wasn't worth carrying 2 goaltenders

might still drop Benn for Saros if he starts tonight and try to trade Talbot
