Gibson vs Vanecek

Not for team in sig. with goalie cats w sv% gaa, is Gibson even worth rostering anymore? 5 gaa and .800 every night is tiresome. Would it be better to snag vanecek even if he’s splitting starts the rest of the year? I could also grab a skater instead too. Other goalies are markstrom, khudobin, oettinger

just typing it makes me think I should grab a skater, but haven’t quite swallowed just outright dropping gibson

I'd drop him for a skater - at least you can count on the skater not harming you night to night.

it's a keep 4 league 12 team league. Our league playoffs really are already about set and i'm out on the outside looking in. My other keepers are Barkov, Eichel, Connor, and Markstrom. I just acquired swapped out Johnny Hockey + 4th round pick, for Hall and 1st, so if Hall actually ends up somewhere out of buffalo he could provide some value over markstrom

there's not much trade appetite for gibson this season, and unless he gets traded, his draft value next year is probably going to be pretty low

With that info, I am less likely to hold him much longer but as always, it's dependent on what is actually available to pick up if you drop him.

if khudobin wasn't struggling so much i wouldn't have a need for oettinger and could grab vanecek, but i don't know if carrying 4 goalies is worth it. might just swap out gibson for a streamer skater.
