Not sure if that's the timeline people think McCrimmon said, but that's what I remember him saying on Eichel's return. I very well could be missing an interview tho.

“I wouldn’t be able to guess. When there were Olympics on our calendar, it was sort of easy to go to some point after the Olympics as to a time frame,’’ McCrimmon said. “We’ve been reluctant to circle a date on the calendar because we’re in uncharted waters, right? I’ve said it different times that Jack is going to look more ready to play than he probably is and we need to make sure we handle this correctly so that he comes back and is able to have a safe, healthy, productive finish to the season. But I sure feel he’ll get in a significant number of regular-season games.’’
Obviously there is no definitive timeline here, although it kinda suggests end of Feb, early March.

    This is from yesterday.

Sorry. Which to be clear isn't necessarily different from what you posted, other than I don't think it will be April.

Why is the owner saying he'll play in a few weeks? Jan 15th article

Jack Eichel's debut with the Vegas Golden Knights could be in "a few weeks," owner Bill Foley told "Vegas Hockey Hotline" on Friday.

You saw him today. He's not that far off," Foley told the podcast. "... He's going to be ready to play.

I wish they had the full quote. Because he could have said "he's a few weeks away" in regards to a full practice. But a few weeks could also be referring to 8 weeks. Few is too vague and I wish they asked him to clarify that.

It also could be because the GM wants to get let the NHL know he doesn't need to make a move soon for cap reasons to get Eichel back. SO the GM could be going "ya he's like months away, not weeks. I don't need to make a move today I can wait for a better offer"

few = not many but some (generally less than 5)
several = generally more than 5 (seems like a better suited word choice here)

i dont get how few could mean 8-12 weeks like some of the other reports. i do understand your second point tho, just seems like he's giving all of us false hope jack is back soon

Few weeks in terms of he's been out for 46 weeks today. Maybe the owner is think a few weeks in terms of when he's been out. But who knows, could have just been an overzealous owner talking out of line about something he doesn't really know about.

I hope it's a few weeks though as an Eichel owner.

It’s all gamesmanship at this point. Obviously they won’t bring him back until he’s ready but the GM has a fine line to walk on the cap space needed and not weakening his position at all.

    Jesse Granger @JesseGranger_ 26m

Jack Eichel is officially out of the no-contact jersey.

He’s skating on a reserve line with Patrick and Amadio, wearing green.

While I was in Vegas, I heard Feb. 16 at home vs. Colorado as Jack Return Day. But don't hold me to that.

why vs colorado? that seems unnecessarily difficult for a guy to come back to. the following game vs LA seems way smarter and easier

First home game back from ASG break? Maybe he's ready to come back in like 2 days but they're holding him off from the road trip. But ya, on Friday Feb 18 they play LA in Vegas, then @SJS on Sunday Feb20. Seems better to me, but if he plays 10min vs Colorado vs the 3rd/4th line that could be best for him and not have a difficult return really.

Let say he comes back Febuary 20th. That gives him around 30-31 games. Not bad.

I'm sure if it were Eichel's decision he'd be playing tomorrow. It sounds like everyone around him is excited and impressed by how skilled Eichel looks on the ice so if contact goes smoothly then maybe February 16th is a real possibility.
