Norris and Comtois for Meier and Holtby

Hi All,

In a 16-team h2h keeper league where we keep 10 plus 2 NA Yahoo eligible players. Scoring cats below
G,A,+/-,PIMS,PPP,PPG,SOG,Hits
W,GAA,SV%,SV,SO

I was offered Timo Meier and Braden Holtby for my Josh Norris and Max Comtois. I am definitely inclined to take it as I really like getting Meier and finding goalies is super hard, so taking a flier on a guy like Holtby who MAY (I emphasize may...not expecting much from him) turn it around seems worth it. Norris and Comtois are likely going to get muscled out of my keeper conversation anyway.

Let me know your thoughts. My current roster below.

Forwards: Eichel, Stone, Bjorkstrand, Trocheck, Seugin, Tarasenko, Stuetzle, Kyrou, Kakko, Norris, Comtois, Niederreiter

Defense: Makar, Hamilton, Dahlin, Boqvist, Bouchard, K. Miller

Goalie: Andersen, Lankinen, Kahkonen, Dubnyk

Forget to add that I have Trevor Zegras and Cole Perfetti as my guys in the NA spots currently.

Yes.

Meier is the best player in the deal! And Holtby is not the worst player in the deal.

Holtby is coming off a 35 save win only giving up 1 goal.

You mentioned goalies are hard to find. I would take that trade and run.

If Holtby ends up being #1 for Seattle next year, he is going to have a hard-working team in front of him.

Give me your 10 most likely keepers at this point - assuming Zegras and Perfetti take the 2 NA spots.

So my guess at what tweetdrivr is teaching you is that Norris and Comtois are 'throw-aways' when it comes to your keepers and Meier and Holtby are both more helpful this year and Meier might even crack your 10th keeper spot!

Well from what I see...

You have one "open" keeper spot.
In my opinion Seguin, Tarasenko, and Lankinen all may look very different as keepers by the end of the season. If you're in strong to win this year maybe go for it. Otherwise I'm not making this trade. Norris and Comtois have big upside and if Lankinen turns into a pumpkin, or either or both of Seguin and Tarasenko end up unable to come back from significant injury you've mortgaged a big bit of future upside for Timo Meier. Who, lets face it, has about 300 games in the league and is looking to be a 60-70 pt player. Not bad. But worth 2 pretty darn blue chip young players?
