    Default Is Demko worth owning?

Our goalie categories are 2 points for a win and 5 total for SO. With Holtby making around 3 mill this year and almost 6 next, will they start him over Demko even though Demko has been really good so far this year? I have Blackwood, but he's Covid right now. Shesterkin and Bob are also on my roster. I'm thinking of picking up Demko or Reimer. Any thoughts?
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.
    10 rounds of drafting
F: Crosby, Point, P. Kane, JVR, Kopitar, Rakell, Tarasenko,
D: Letang, Doughty, Karlsson, Grzelcyk, Faulk,
    G: Bob, Shesterkin, Demko, Kahkonen

Demko is definitely a good add. He's been better than Holtby and it might only be a matter of time before he takes more starts.

    Absolutely.

I think that Holtby gets exposed in the expansion draft. I think that was their plan all along. At worst, there is a 1a/1b platoon between Holtby and Demko. I think that Holtby is really overrated.

Saw GoaliePost doing some goalie questions on Twitter yesterday and they mentioned they thought it's only a matter of time before Demko gets more as well.

Demko is the hot hand right now so yes getting the starts. As long as he doesn't drop an egg, he should be carrying the load but it's just a matter of time before Holtby goes his starts too.

Yes, he's worth owning but Holtby will get his starts too.

Thanks for all the quick replies. Much appreciated. The Canucks were horrible to start the year but they have been playing much better. Demko's numbers have simultaneously improved. No surprise. I think I'll pick him up....with Covid this year you can never have too many backups.

Exactly. Between tandems, injuries and COVID issues, goalie starts are more dispersed than ever.

Yeah, the entire year, with its lot of cancelled seasons, low training times and other bankruptcies has done a number on sports worldwide, and as a result, we don't get enough data - especially reliable data - to make ourselves an idea of someone's performances for 2021...

On the contrary, I picked up Allen hoping for some W

Demko is worth monitoring for this week for how they do, but expect high scoring!

The Jets were a good test for Demko, but these next set of games will be interesting as both Demko and Holtby got lit up like a Christmas tree the first go around with the Habs... and the Leafs... ugh.
