Dubois’s 14-day quarantine since arriving from Columbus will be over on Saturday.


Unlike defenceman Tucker Poolman, who came out of COVID protocol on Friday, Dubois won’t need an additional week to get back in playing shape.

Head coach Paul Maurice says Poolman wasn’t able to train since entering the protocol after the first game of the season.

“He’s for the most part completely shut down,” Maurice said, Monday. “And we wouldn’t do anything with that player. Pierre-Luc’s in a quarantine. He’s able to train. There’s going to be a lag, for sure. But it won’t be nearly as significant. With Tucker’s, it’s a lot more defined. We’re watching heart rates. We’re slowly building him back up just to make sure we’ve got a healthy player when he comes back.”

The Jets and the NHL don’t differentiate between players who’ve actually tested positive for COVID-19 and those who’ve been identified as close contacts or had symptoms before testing negative.

No offence intended but I can't see Maurice doing the double whammy of pulling Wheeler from Scheifele AND pulling Connor off his usual wing.

We know Ehlers is comfortable on both sides so I would expect the "usual" top line to be the same and Copp being bumped off of LW on the 2nd unit for Dubois if they insist on playing all those guys in the top 6 as opposed to spreading it over the top 9.

I believe spreading it out over the top 9 would work best and help cover their lack of depth on D but Im also. just a guy chilling at home having a couple of drinks so what do I know

IÂ’m not offended, itÂ’s just what I would do with the lineup. Who knows what Maurice will do.

Chevy wants stastny on the wing and Dubois at centre so they will likely go with :

Connor scheifele wheeler
Ehlers Dubois stastny
Copp Lowry perreault or Appleton
Leftovers on the 4th line.

IÂ’d rather duboisÂ’s skill set with Connor and scheifele or between Connor and ehlers, to make one, fast dynamic line... and maybe put stastny with scheifele and wheeler for a veteran line.

Pierre-Luc Dubois took part in his first official practice with Winnipeg on Sunday.
Dubois skated between Kyle Connor and Trevor Lewis in the session. He completed his 14-day quarantine on Saturday after he was acquired from Columbus. Dubois is optimistic that he will be able to make his Jets debut on Tuesday versus Calgary.

Paul Statsny skated between Blake Wheeler and Kristian Vesalainen during Sunday's practice.
Statsny hasn't picked up a point in the past four games. He was clicking with Andrew Copp and Nikolaj Ehlers prior to this scoring skid, but they have been skating alongside Mark Scheifele recently.

Well, #CBJ have been through their four lines here early in the third and it appears Patrik Laine is still benched.

His last shift game ended with 6:19 remaining in the second period.

Someone on here said Roslovic was nothing more than a bottom 6 plugger. That’s apparently also what renaissance man Paul Maurice thought he was. Seems like there is some talent there. All it took was a decent coach to see it. *ahem* Armia *cough* Chiarot *cough cough*
