The Flames just paid Markstrom so he's going to see the workload.
Last year, Edmonton went two games in a row for each guy and Tippett has already stated that should be the way again this year. The Oilers have improved their bottom six and the younger D are a year older and more experienced.

I think Rittich gives you better stats but smith will give u moors starts..probably more wins...if it’s keeper I would pick Ritchie just cause he is younger but otherwise flip a coin imo

Rittich: 24W, .907 Sv %, 2.97 GAA, -4.36 gsaa, .500 Quality start %
Smith : 19 W, .902 sv %, 2.95 GAA, - 7.71 gsaa, .459 quality start %
Rittich isn’t great, but that difference in gsaa, in particular, says a lot.

His league doesn't use that stat cat. And that win total for Rittich won't be nearly that high with Markstrom there now.

There are probably a few leagues out there that use it, but not many. It simply shows that Smith is worse. By a bit.
