As a Tavares owner I am not pleased. I did not expect Nylander to keep his PP1 spot so I avoided him in drafts, I will be disappointed if Tavares loses his PP1 spot also.

Why would you mess with that PP?
I certainly hope they're simply experimenting and giving so reps to other players in case they have to step in.

Will start the season on the 3rd line with Turris in hopes that Oiler's will have a very solid 3rd scoring line, something that has been lacking the last bunch of years. He has some dark horse potential to surprise this season on his Oiler comeback.

Interesting camp notes:

As of right now, both Nils Hoglander and John Leonard have inside tracks to start the season in their respective top six.

trotz states that bellows and wahlstrom look like ''men out there'' compared to last camp , dobson will be on powerplay - didnt specify unit .

sorokin won scrimmage yesterday 3-0 . isles players mentioning his glove/blocker and side to side movement being very quick.

apparently all of these mysterious deals lou made with martin,greene,schneider,timashov along with a barzal signing will be done on tuesday when boychuks ltir and ladd,hickey + whoever else gets waived in order to hit the taxi squad opens up enough cap space

Note Kahun and Neal are still out with unknown reasons.

I expect Kahun to settle beside Draisaitl and Yamamoto. Neal should fit in with Turris and Puljujarvi when the dust settles. That or Ennis. Hard to say who ends up on the LW 3rd line at this point.

It looks like he won't even make training camp actually. And he'll be recalled to quarantine for the WHL not long after the NHL starts so he likely won't get much time on the taxi squad either.

I wouldn't put too much stock into the random bullshit NHL coaches say during training camp. They always seem to call some random guy the next Ovechkin etc. and then they get cut the next day.
