I'm reading that TB just signed Boo Nieves.
Betting... it's going to be at some strange number that lets TB manage their LTIR roster to the best number possible.

If Nieves shows up on their opening night roster... it's a paper move to set the team up well for long haul.

Tyler Johnson is going on the taxi squad for the first game until they can be se their LTIR. Nieves is possibly there to help fill a roster spot until TJ can come back in.

He signed a two way deal with his NHL salary coming in at $708k.

Definitely some interesting names on the waivers list, sadly nobody claimed Ho-Sang to free him from Long Island.

. Wondering if Nedeljkovic gets claimed.

Based off Coach Q's comments, it seems fairly clear that Sergei Bobrovsky will not be ready for Opening Night.

Bob has yet to take the ice for training camp (when the media has been present) and remains on the Unfit to Play list.

Chris Driedger and Sam Montembeault to be the Florida's goalies moving forward while Bobrovsky is out.

Florida has Bob (10), Darling (2.333), and Luongo (1.092) tied up on goalies who won't be on the opening night roster this yr (16.5% of the cap)

He's been practicing though hasn't he? I don't really look to deep into Florida, but I saw Mont on tweets about who was practicing in Florida.

Q has said he hopes the issue of Bob doesn't drag far enough into the decision where he has to think about rotating Dreidger and Mont.

Note that Florida starts late as they were slated to play Dallas to start. First game is vs Chicago on Sunday January 17th with the first B2B February 4th/5th, then their next B2B is April (holy that's a consistent schedule)

Yeah they have some time. I’ve picked up Driedger late in several drafts. He was quite good last season in his short stint as the starter.

Curious about what's happening in Florida.
I've long-speculated that this team is (semi-intentionally) destined for the toilet... and destined out of Florida.
Viola's language over the year has all but set this team up for sale in 2023 or 2024.

There's something in the water down there... and I think perhaps because they aren't cleaning it.

Bobrovsky skated full session with FLA today.
Looks like he's good to go. (Additionally - FLA has extra time off with first two GP vs DAL cancelled)

This isn't quite a training camp note anymore since...camp is done but, here's your probable goalies for tonight
    Vas (TBL) vs Subban (CHI)
    Hart (PHI) vs Jarry (PITS)
    Binnington (STL) vs Grubauer (COL)
    Price (MTL) vs Andersen (TOR)
    Holtby (VAN) vs Koskinen (EDM)

Subban starting over Delia is the big point to take note of.

Edmonton vs Vancouver has a B2B today and tmo.
