Inaugural cap dynasty draft currently going. Need to pick up a second goalie and need some help. These are the goalies I can afford that rank highest for fps.

Cats: Start 2 goalies, GA, saves, wins, so.

Gibson
Grubauer or Francouz (not sure who the clear starter is)
Khudobin
Varly
Blackwood

How would you rank them?

Gibson - Proven starter, arguably a top 5 (maybe even 3) goalie in the league, on a terrible team, priciest on the list.

Grubauer/Francouz - Who is the starter? Depending on your first goalie, either of these two serve as an admirable G2. I would prefer Francouz of the two.
Khudobin - Value for this season while Bishop is injured. If not for the Bishop injury, he is a WW-type goalie, depending on league size.
Varlamov - Great defensive system, contract (money and term) indicate that they'll still use him. Of course, the elephant in the room here is Ilya Sorokin.

Blackwood - Not yet signed, but assumed to be resigning with NJ. He'll be backing up Crawford for the next year or two.

The obvious answer here, for me, is John Gibson. Really, though, it depends on how you are constructing your team and what you are trying to accomplish. If you have a really strong G1, and are looking to win this year, then Khudobin/Varlamov/COL goalie will cost you a little less, and, with a condensed schedule, will likely give you enough games to return value and help you this first year.

If you are building with a longer term goal in mind, I think that you pick Gibson. The other ones have very little long term value, whereas Gibson is a phenomenal talent, who is young enough to have plenty of prime years left in him (assuming that he can stay healthy AND Anaheim can actually put together a half-respectable team).

I really appreciate the detailed reply! I don’t like not knowing how things will shake up on the other teams whereas Anaheim doesn’t really have any goalie controversy.

Gibson is the clear starter for now, and has honestly been good for a while.
Varlamov should split starts at worst for the duration of his contract. Isles are a good team.
Blackwood to me is more likely the guy for NJ over Crawford, but it's a split this year.
Khudobin I feel is a solid value for this year and likely the next.

Grubauer or Francouz - I don't feel that there's a clear starter, and that's an issue.

Just facts.

Grubauer was 4th last season in GSAA,
He was 8th in HDSV%
And 6th in 5on5 SV%

Francouz was nowhere near those numbers. IMO, Grubauer is a top 10 G next season.

I would take Grubauer over all other goalies mentioned

Gibson - Proven Starter, great goalie, bad team
Grubauer - I think you will see him as the starter
Varlamov - I think he will get a lot of starts for the next year at least while Sherstiken figures it out
Blackwood - I think he will end up in a timeshare with Crawford, but I think he has what it takes to become a starter
Khudobin - although if Bishop is healthy will eat into his start
Francouz - Don't think will be starter
