Our league is a 12 team keep 10+5 farm so 180 players kept. Ive been offered Seguin for 13th overall pick in this year's draft. Others available are rust, kopitar, pacioretty, ehlers, burns, giordano, strome, kreider and a few goalies like mrazek, Bishop as well as the crop of new draft picks.

So, does Seguin have a bounce back season, and is he more valuable than these guys? I assume 6 or 7 draft picks, 1-2 goalies and 5-6 of these players will be gone by pick 13.

With Seguin having survey and expected back in March, I would hold and draft a healthy body with the 13th pick. In a shortened season, it's hard to sit on missed time.

I heard 4 month recovery, then 5 month but then heard you and a Dallas reporter reference Mar return. I know Nill was saying as per nhl.com on Nov 20 he had started rehab, would be on crutches for another 7-10 days, then should start to come pretty quick after that. Early Apr still likely or hard to say?

Smart owner, offering you a guy who likely won't help him for a pretty good draft pick. Could very likely not even be keeping Seguin, and you might get him at the draft for free.

I'd pass on this. I think that if he's dropped, the injury drops him to around your draft spot or lower.

This is also a move you don't need to do right now. His value won't rise any higher than that 13th round pick likely with any news about recovery coming in the near future.

I wouldn't be surprised once camps start, there will be reports around the league about these hurt players timelines (Marchand, Seguin, Pasta). So even if you want to make the trade, I'd hold out for another few weeks and tackle it closer to your draft date.
