Maybe get Koskinen on the way back, or wait a few more rounds for Korpisalo.

I honestly think I'm going to take Ullmark, still young and Dobber has listed as long-term payoff, their seems to only be 4 starters left Kosk, Ullmark, Talbot and Greiss and Ullmark is the clear winner for age imo.

I imagine the other goalies will go straight after me, meaning I'll still have a shot at someone good in 8 picks

I'd probably still take Marchand here. He's such a big step better than Lindholm. You have a compete now roster so far. Go big, go for the win. Marchand will take you there.

If Wheeler can score 90 in his age 32 year, Marchand can too. And probably give you a good 3 years of over ppg before decline hits.

I decided on Lindholm for a variety of reasons, primarily being that I want the core of my team (Hart, Makar, Scheifele, Lindholm) to be around the same age, from now on I think I'd be fine with going older - but this gives me a top player in goal, d, wing and center to work from.

I just traded Marchand for Meier, Tippett, and J. Robertson in one of my dynasty leagues to get younger. Just shows the value that he still has. I'm surprised he was still around at this point in your draft, even at his age.

I like this.. I would have taken Marchand. he comes back a pt/gm or 100pt pace forward - with a young team - that's mega - trade bait

Last year I value drafted vets in a 16tm league - Weber & Edler and traded them in deals to round out my depth. Weber landed me Klingberg a 1st Jokiharju and a 4th piece.

You need to draft BPA -esp. if a 100pt player like Marchand sits into a 5th round. That's mega value drafting.
A team pushing to win in yr. 1 will pay a premium for him at a deadline.

I was personally happy with Lindholm, I pretty much refuse to draft Marchand out of principle as well lol, I hate him and I don't want to cheer for him. FHG had Lindholm practically level for my league with him so it wasn't too difficult of a choice in the end for me.

My next choice however, is difficult!
