I'd assume so. He becomes a UFA if they don't and they lose his rights if I'm not mistaken.

yeah they can qualify him then trade his rights . if guerin is moving dubnyk I think murray could end up in minney

Seems like a nice contract to help Pittsburgh keep its competitive window open for a few years. 3.5 mill for your starting goaltender is a steal.

Yep. As a Jarry owner I'm happy about this. Murray should be dealt now.
