    Default Keep 4 from list

Hey all, this is for my league in sig.

Looking for advice on which 4 you’d keep from this list from my team in sig. I had done this a while back with a few less names but my drop date is in a few hours so looking for some last minute feedback. The ones with stars are the ones I’m leaning towards.

    Alex Killorn
    Joe Pavelski
    PK Subban
    Jake DeBrusk*
    Christian Dvorak
    Nick Schmaltz*
    T.J. Oshie*
    Alex Tuch*

    Thanks in advance

Kilorn Oshie Pavelski and last spot goes between Debrusk and Tuch for me just based on what i think their upside is...if you worry about age i take both those guys and drop Pavelski

    DeBrusk (ready to pop)
    ...
    ...
Pavelski (he's still got stats, especially if you can roster him wing and with your FOW)
    Oshie
    Schmaltz

*Tuch is the tough cut. He was very good in playoffs... but I think that might be forgotten and I'd try to redraft him.

Interesting... thanks Belexus for the quick reply.

I think I’ll stick with the age factor in mind so swapping out Pavs for Tuch and planning on keeping Debrusk.

Then it’s Killorn over Schmaltz. Not crazy as I think I may have blinders on for Schmaltz with him being a high draft pick of mine 6 years ago. I was just hoping to keep as many 3/4-year guys in hopes of a breakout based on their output.

Hmmm another interesting take. Pavelski seems like a sure bet. I had all but written him off.

I think Oshie and Debrusk are my sure picks. After that it gets pretty cloudy.

i think Schmaltz might have slight edge in offensive ceiling but everything else goes to killorn...multi cat factor, consistency, experience...and while he will probably move, unless he gets move to Arizona , Killorn has better team when it comes to fantasy produciton...

It is worth noting that Killorn is an 11% shooter that shot 20% on his 130sog last year.
Normalize that and he scores 14g, instead of 26g.
That puts him on pace to match his 15-20g/20-30a/45pt-ish stats of previous years.
I'm not great on contract interpretation, but most of the more expensive TB forwards are NMC or NTC... which makes them hard to move, IIRC.
Killorn is a M-NTC... which makes me think they can move him, tactfully. (If I read right, this year FA opening - Killorn may need to specify 16 teams he can't trade to, leaving 15-16 teams he can be traded to.)

    re: Pavelski.
His game is still there. Evidenced by the playoffs.
It can take a while for some players to hit their groove on a new team.
Dallas underused him in regular season (17min/gp).
Pavelski's playoff numbers will be skewed by deep-OTs... but he was way more used by Dallas... and I think that will continue next year.
Pavelski's hockey sense is just top tier... and he's a PP1 weapon. He'll do way more than 11ppp next year. He had 20+ppp his last 5-6 years for SJ.

While Pavelski's days of 65+ pts are behind him... I think he does 50-60pts next year... which'll be more than Killorn.

    DeBrusk
Killorn - has a great contract and is poised for a bigger role. Some F are going to moving out of town for Tampa to get under the cap
    Schmaltz
Tuch or Oshie - Oshie is 33. I'd be looking to divest myself of the old guy sooner rather than later as his play will drop off.

DeBrusk, Oshie, Tuch, and Pavelski for me. I just can't make myself get on board with Schmaltz.

Oh my, you guys are killing me here but I truly appreciate the feedback. Every thing you are echoing seems to be one of the little voices in my head telling me to go in that direction rather than another.

This is gonna be a tuff one
