I don't think you can get around adding the pick due to age and Subban's decline in numbers. I don't mind Subban as a buy-low guy but I would absolutely make this deal.
Hi all,
I have a trade on the table which would be my Subban and the 36th overall prospect pick for Dumba.
My team is pretty set but I think I can fit Dumba; just not sure if he’s worth Subban AND the pick.
What’s your take?

I would probably make this deal as well. Is it a cap league? Signature doesn't say it is.
Plus, the other thing is, who would you have to drop to accommodate that 36th pick?
I think in Dumba you get the better dman, who is younger, and has more promise/upside for years to come. Subban will only decline.
So it’s not a cap league and I don’t have to drop anyone extra if
I were to keep my 36th overall prospect pick.
In the end, I’m out to see if Dumba can be a consistent 50pt guy and if Subban is only going to decline further...
FWIW, I think Subban can hit 50+ again but I’m still tempted to go with the younger guy...

Even if their overall production is even, Dumba is a better trade asset. Most of your league will want nothing to do with 30+ year old players. It's not going to get better as Subban gets older.
I would personally pay the pick to get the better asset.

I'd gladly do that. If Subban rebounds somewhat, you're likely looking at a second round pick in return if you shop him. Would you trade a 2nd and a 3rd for Dumba? Yes, you would.

I'd do that deal.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League
25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt
Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink
G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

To me it's a no brainer, I would get Dumba.
Trade has changed a bit; he now wants my 2nd round prospect (23rd overall) along with Subban for Dumba and his 4th rounder (56th overall).
I’m still very interested as it is now only a downgrade rather than a lost pick but the 2nd rounder will fetch a better player for sure.
Any new takes?

It might depend a bit on what you anticipate is available with the 2nd, 23rd overall, but if it's just this years prospect pool, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I think I take Dumba regardless, unless you're confident you can get a solid player at 23.
they both been struggling but i can see Dumba's bunce back much clear than Subban's. I think PK is just about done to be honest.
