Default Last Keeper- Trochek, Kase, DToews or Raaaaanta

So teams in transition. Im in a short turnaround ype of rebuild that I continued yesterday with an OEL for Bouchard and a pick move- lol! That being said Im still halfway competetive because I cant get a fair offer for eltang and shrek (malkin) So we get 8 "protects" each- not quite the same as keepers. We can either make a steal or "lock in" our own roster when it gets to our turn. Heres my Suckuad:

    C- Malkin, Suzuki
    W- Gudreau, Vrana, March, Gusev
    D- Eltang, Hronek, DToews, Bouchard
    G- Kuemper, Ullmark
Bn- Trochek, Granlund, Kase, Lehkonen, Milano, Gourde, Weegar, Djoos, Raanta, Nilsson
Prospects (free protects)- Suzuki, Glass, NRobertson, CPetersen

    A Case for Each:

Kase- My current pick. Love his potential on the Bs. RThat upside is likely too much to pass on.

Trochek- Cs oddly enough have a lot of value in our league and Im a little low on them. Im currently trying to flip Trochek plus for Pld and if I do he becomes my last protect.

Toews- I know hes not quite there in terms of value but a couple factors to consider. The insider on Keeping Karlton (Tom Jones Edition)- was pretty convinced hes there ppqb for at least one more season minimum. D have overbalanced vaue in our league (+/- ends up being plus or minus three instead of one as it is for udder skaters). Lastly as you can see my replacement D suck scrotum danglers.

Raanta- Like D Goalies are weighted quite heavilly. On the plus side I dont think theres a hugh demand for tandem guys in a weekly starts league. I think hes halfway safe unprotected (that felt wrong to type- hahaha!)

Tater tots? Potato pots? Or otherwise unmentioned insightful thoughts?

I like Trochek here by far. His upside and his floor are both higher than Kase.

You need a goalie, and I don't think that Raanta/Kuemper tandem is the solution .

Trochek is the guy I'd keep from your list.

Another vote for Trocheck. I'm definitely tempted by Kase though and can see why you lean his way. He's playing great in Boston these playoffs and is going into a contract year so I have high hopes for him next season but he plays bigger than he is and is seemingly continuously being injured. I'll be surprised if he's not unfit-to-play within the next couple weeks to be honest. Trocheck is the safer pick.

Would you swap suzuki for soroykin?

The whole deal being soroykin/Necas for suzuki/CPetersen

Answered in the other thread that I like the full deal. Tough to say one for one on Suzuki for Sorokin. Really depends on the league.

I would do that deal, especially if you get Necas in the package.
