I think that Rossi is the 3rd best player in this draft.
I finally pick in the first round after many years of trading away the 1st round pick. I am looking to pick the best player available with the stats we use. I have enough position flexibility that position is not a requirement other than not needing D.
My feeling is that Lafreniere is #1, Byfield #2 and Stutzle as #3. So who do you think is better now and long term for point between Rossi and Raymond. My gut is leaning toward Raymond but it isn't set yet. Looking for some sage advice out there.
If Stutzle is available at #4 would he be a no-brainer instead of Raymond or Rossi.
Thanks everyone.

I think that Rossi is the 3rd best player in this draft.
31 TEAMS keep all multi-cat (lot of them) dynasty
Offensive stats : Goals, Assist , PPP, PPTOI, SOG...
Defensive stats : PKTOI, BLKS, TakeAway, Giveaway...
(basically best NHL player)
I like Rossi.
I think Rossi will be ready sooner, but I like Raymond's upside more. Both are great players (I have Raymond 4 and Rossi 5, but could be convinced to change my mind for either).
Lafreniere
Byfield
Stutzle
Raymond
Rossi
Perfetti
Holtz
Would be how I would look at them (and have them grouped togetger)

To me you can't lose. I haven't seen much of Raymond at all, but Rossi and Perfetti (I think is being underrated) are both great prospects. I'm biased so I'd go Rossi or Perfetti over Raymond, but that's just me.
I’d take Rossi here. More potential offensive upside and will be ready sooner.
Rossi over Raymond.
If Stutzle or Byfield are available at 4, then either one over Rossi/Raymond.
not to steal the thread but where would u guys put N.Robertson and C MacMichael with this group in OP

I would take Raymond at 4 and Perfetti at 5.
For me it's Rossi at 3, Stützle at 4 and Raymond at 5. With PIMs being one of only 4 skater cats, I'd even more lean Rossi because he plays with an edge the most out of the bunch.
BUT... with half your cats being covered by Gs, I'd strongly consider Askarov as well. I usually wouldn't take him before the 7th slot or so, but in your setting a top netminder is invalueable. In these circumstances I'd go Askarov if you don't crave for more immediate help.

Do you have the luxury of waiting to see the actual NHL draft before making your pick?
First off, if Stutzle or Byfield are there at four for you, yes, that's who i'd go with easily.
As far as who to take between Rossi or Raymond, I'd like to see where they land. My pre-draft ranking has Raymond over Rossi but we all know they are very close as far as skill goes. Rossi is a center so it will depend on the depth of position on the team that drafts him that could make a difference in his upside. If he goes to Detroit 4th overall, we all know Dylan Larkin is their 1C for years to come so that means Rossi probably maxes out at 2C for a while. If Ottawa takes him at 3 or 5, they need center depth so his value goes up. Make sense?

After first overall, it's anyones guess how it will unfold. We see it every year where there's a curveball we didn't expect. I dont expect this year to be any different.
